Date range of observations fitted is from Jul 16, 2015 to May 30, 2023 as indicated by global attributes time_coverage_start and time_coverage_end. The number of annual harmonics fit is two as indicated by the global attribute n_harmonic. The underlying observations are available under DOIs https://www.doi.org/10.21238/S8SPRAY2675 and https://www.doi.org/10.21238/S8SPRAY0880.\n\ncdm_data_type = Grid\nVARIABLES (all of which use the dimensions [time][depth][latitude][longitude]):\ntemperature (degree_C)\ntemperature_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted temperature, degree_C)\nsalinity (1)\nsalinity_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted salinity, PSU)\npotential_temperature (degree_C)\npotential_temperature_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted potential temperature, degree_C)\npotential_density (kg m-3)\npotential_density_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted potential density, kg m-3)\ndensity (kg m-3)\ndensity_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted density, kg m-3)\neastward_velocity (m s-1)\neastward_velocity_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted eastward velocity, m s-1)\nnorthward_velocity (m s-1)\nnorthward_velocity_uncertainty (Uncertainty in fitted northward velocity, m s-1)\nalong_stream_scale (along-stream e-folding scale for Gaussian weight function, km)\ncross_stream_scale (cross-stream e-folding scale for Gaussian weight function, km)\ndownstream_direction (Downstream direction of mean velocity and orientation of along-stream e-folding scale for Gaussian weight function, degrees clockwise from north, degrees)\nn_pts_fit (Number of observations fit)\nn_missions_fit (Number of missions fit)\nmax_gap (Maximum gap in observations as fraction of year, 1)\narc_fit (Angle covered by observations around grid point, radians)\n https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/gsMean_fgdc.xml https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/gsMean_iso19115.xml https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/erddap/info/gsMean/index.htmlTable https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/products/gulf-stream-climatology/ https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/erddap/rss/gsMean.rss https://spraydata.ucsd.edu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=gsMean&showErrors=false&email= Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution gsMean

While most of the glider missions are part of the California Underwater Glider Network there are also many missions in the Altantic, Mediterranean, Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific basin. Data in this collection should be used over the near real time data once this quality controlled dataset is available, typically a few months after a glider is recovered. The near-real-time data are not as complete or accurate as this product due to data telemetry limitations and the nature of near-real-time data dissemination. Spray glider missions are post-processed after a mission is complete resulting in this high-quality dataset. This high-resolution, delayed mode product represents the highest quality most complete data record for Spray missions. Data from these missions are available in other forms as well, the near-real-time data product offers preliminary data and fills the gap between this product and the present. An easier to use binned data product is available for deployments within the California Underwater Glider Network (CUGN). Climatology data products are available for the longest running transects in the CUGN. See the Spray Glider data website (https://spraydata.ucsd.edu) for more information.\n\ncdm_data_type = TrajectoryProfile\nVARIABLES:\ntrajectory (Trajectory Id)\ninstitution\nmission_id (IDG Mission Id)\nproject (Project Name)\nsite (Site Name)\nplatform_id (Platform Identifier)\nwmo_id (WMO Platform ID)\ndepth (m)\ndepth_qc (Depth Quality Flag)\nprofile_id (Profile Id (count))\ntime (Profile Time, seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z)\ntime_qc (Profile Time Quality Flag)\nlatitude (Profile Latitude, degrees_north)\nlatitude_qc (Profile Latitude Mid-Point Quality Flag)\n...
